Cannot confess to being up to speed on it. That said, it sounds like the MO of the administration, and Psaki in her own sling way admitted to it via non-denial while trying to frame it as a moral issue (rather than a legal or logical one), though even that requires less than a cursory consideration to realize is absolute shit.

Folks whine about the overcrowding conditions inhumane, blah blah blah.
They move em? You didn't tell us you were going to move them!!!!

Personally I think it's just folks wanting to be offended and they'll find any reason to be.

On the surface of it, I'd say it's probably a good thing to get them to relatives or better facilities. Hell if they're 16-20 years old I hear that people are complaining about a lack of fast food workers. Toss an ankle monitor on em and put em to work at McDonalds until their immigration status is resolved.

Never really read the NYT when I was younger. I had two options as a kid/young adult really. Dallas Morning News (right) and Dallas Times Herald (Left). Between the two of them you could usually figure out the basis for most stories. The Herald went out of business in 91, and the DMN will probably be going out of business here in the near future.

When I travelled I mostly read USA Today or WSJ (Since that's what the hotel always put under your door). Decent stuff, most stories fairly unbiased back then but nowadays it (USAT) seems to hang to the left.

See my problem is that underage part. We've already seen Epstein getting Clintoned. Now we have an administration that is making misdirection statements when asked. Biden is an obvious pedophile. There's entirely too much footage of him touching little girls inappropriately to deny that fact. My tinfoil hat says this is as big a problem in our American aristocracy as it was in Ancient Egypt, Rome, and all of Europe.

Speaking for myself my outrage comes from the weakness and ineptitude of this illegitimate administration that invites challenge- in this form, via mass migration bordering on invasion- and then the disingenuous concern for “the poor refugee children” while at the same time covering the reality of the situation (the numbers, the conditions, the exploitation of the children, etc), and then, when trying to hide the problem by relocating these hordes within the borders (unvaxxed of course), hiding behind a righteous shield of pretending they’re “reuniting” the children with a relative….and they expect people to either be stupid enough to believe that, or so blatantly partisan they’ll perpetuate the lie, without even pretending it makes sense an undocumented second-world child gets stranded without a parent at the southern border but somehow this administration found them blood relatives in Yonkers. Uncanny. Unvaxxed, undocumented, unaccountable, unbelievable but hey, uhm, “link”?

We have some things in common. I too balance sources (while knowing the agenda of each) and those two specifically though, USA Today is startlingly showing signs of leftist takeover/mandate.

Migrants tend to come when conditions get bad at home. There was a pretty big wave when Trump was in office back in 2019, and another wave hit in July of 21. Honestly this is a tough call for me.

The US used to be the land of immigrants where we'd accept pretty much anyone who was willing to work hard and do a days labor. Nowadays though, we're kinda elitist in that we only want the best and brightest college educated or independently wealthy. Personally I think we've gotten a little away from our roots and it'll bite us in the ass. If you want a good laugh, go lookup the Inscription on the statue of liberty and apply it to today's US. :)

Employers are complaining about there being a lack of labor force to do the menial day to day shit. Not a shocker there, most of those jobs are done by three types of people. A) Teens doing a summer job. B) Village idiots who couldn't graduate high school and C) Immigrants who weren't qualified to do any meaningful job.

We've pretty much killed off C, and there's just not enough idiots around to fill the burger flipper/entry level construction type jobs. They really need to bring back the day laborer visa and start putting these folks to work, rather than having them try to slip over fences and hide so they can feed their families. Bonus, we could tax them and track them.
