Not much new with Iowa, brought in some transfers to hopefully plug some holes. Probably the three toughest games are all in a row early in the big ten season which kind of sucks. At Michigan on Sept 26th, the next week at home vs O$U, then at Washington the following week.

Lost several defensive coaches to other college teams and the NFL

Brought in retired former TCU head coach Gary Patterson to run the defense.

We will see how this plays out. Some say the game has changed the past couple of years and he is out touch, but at the end of the day it’s still X’s and O’s.

There was a lot of home board talk early on that we were pursuing him. Then talk turned to him going to Stanford. I don’t think he has landed anywhere yet.
