Conference Realignment?

Ohio St./Michigan: "No one in the B1G can touch us."

*Knock-Knock*

You mean….USC?

So many news stories today! I guess we are down to the P4 (really P2+2). Not sure how I feel about the XII expanding to 18 with more western schools, I would like see how the ACC works out first. Also, I don't think Stanford or Cal would be interested in the XII, they would prefer going independent, maybe get a scheduling agreement with ND and the B1G/XII for a set number of games per year. If they can guarantee at least 7 games against what is now P5 opponents, I think some media outlet would pick them up for about 30 million ea.

That would leave OSU and WSU without chairs, and I do feel bad for their fans.

Stanford is in talks with the B1G atm for some future add ... but who knows when that will be. Those lefty snob fvcks are the ones who did the most to tank the PAC.

Big Ten reportedly 'contemplating' whether to expand further with Stanford after recent Oregon and Washington additions

I wish I could turn back the clock thirty years. This has an NFL feel to it. =/
Same here. I’m skeptical I’ll be more than a very casual fan in 5 years, but here we are.

I’m lucky enough that my team is in a conference with money, but I’m not at all convinced the bottom doesn’t fall out eventually…look at ESPN, they overpaid to control things and they’re eating shit right now.

Co-sign. I hate this.

That’s telling because Bama and their very few peers will dominate. Cyclically for each, but they’ll always be in the club.

Most never have a chance. The TCU’s and MSU of the world will sometimes get a shot, but winning 3 in a row against the big boys just isn’t going to happen. Especially after playing 12 or 13 games previously, and lack of depth is exposed.

Well you can always beat Michigan again and pay your coach a zillion $.

But that’s not college football. It ceases being a regional but national sport with unique traditions and rivalries and rich history and it becomes NFL lite. I hate the NFL.
