Congrats Tennessee

"The Heisman Memorial Trophy (usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman) is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the postseason bowl games. " -Wiki

Pretty subjective. Duggan has already won the Johnny Unitas award.

Also of note: "The 1956 Heisman Memorial Trophy was awarded to Notre Dame's Paul Hornung. Notre Dame finished 2-8 (lol) during the 1956 season. Hornung played quarterback, halfback and placekicker for the Fighting Irish. During the 1956 campaign, Hornung led Notre Dame in punt returns, kickoff returns, scoring, passing and rushing."

That was back when the Heisman was still considered legit.

Even Hourning laughed about getting the H at 2-8 later. Heck of a player, but you still need a good season to lead your team to victory IMO. What that means is subjective these days.

870 media votes vs 57 former Heisman winner votes. 1 vote for fans. Sounds about right... Who will Bryce Young vote for? lol

and just to follow-up, AG,
Tech had a great QB by the name of Graham Harrell -
in 2008, Graham went over 4700 yards, 41 TDs,
and over 70% completions -
didn't even get an invite -
This ^^ ... all too often you see the Heisman going to the best team's QB which a lot of times means going to a game manager.

Stetson is the only walk-on involved is the discussion. He was point blank told he would not see the field before spring practice of last season. Now he has a natty, offensive MVP of both playoff games last year and has led his team to an undefeated season. His numbers are similar enough to the other names on the list. I think it's fair to say Bennett epitomizes ability, diligence, perseverance, and hard work.
