I am a bit mildly and pleasantly surprised that Coach Freeze was able to accomplish. We got our best WR class in history, top ten overall from HS recruiting and not relying much on the portal. It appears that our staff is mending some relationships with HS coaches and showing that is a priority. Also as far as average player rating, using 24/7 numbers we are within a half point per player as compared to Bama, Texas, and OSU. So far, so good on the Plains.
 
So with the early signing period open and the vast majority of commitments in, where did Colorado finish up in the rankings to close the first full class Deion Sanders was able to recruit?

Exactly! Less effort! He is selling a dream. He got our #2 RB Kaviosey Smoke after Ray Davis was added to our line-up (could have really contributed and had some MVP moments in his time at UK behind NFL bound Snell and C-Rod) and he then finished his time at CU this season with 2 carries and 5 yards....

It was kind of nice in one way. Not to have any drama. Literally the whole class was signed by 11am :)

But also that means no surprise commits on signing day that were surprise gets.

Miss some of the old days when there was still some excitement for signing day. Now these kids know weeks before where they are going. Barring the ones that are just cash motivated that are waiting for the highest bidder.
