Exactly a year ago today...

I carry a smoking tradition in my family. My last smoke will be on my deathbed.

My dad was a smoker .... he visited his older friend in the hospital on his deathbed and he was begging my dad for a smoke...... That experience impacted my father enough to get him to quit....he just kept telling me the most important thing in his dying friends life was to have a cigarette....which was fucked up...

Sorry if I’m being judgmental but I’m sharing a real life experience that got my dad to quit...

Hopefully I won't have a relapse anytime soon. I came within crotch hair to falling off the wagon many time in the last year.

7-8 years ago, my Mom used Chantix and quit. About 2 years ago, she was told she had an "uncorrectable medical problem" that would be terminal. She went and bought a pack of cigarettes. She's healthier now than she was 2 years ago.
