Obviously, I've heard more about this by now. Honestly, I can see both sides of the story. The DW terms seemed to penalize, pretty harshly, if content were to be demonitized on platforms such as YouTube (which all of Crowder's content is). This seems to play right into the hands of the lefty platforms. But, at the same time, the DW has done a decent job - probably better than any of the other conservative media outlets - of engaging in the Culture War, which isn't cheap. It seems like Crowder is big enough to start his own rather than having to piggyback on someone else's platform.
