I was thinking about this, we don't really have a good fried chicken place around here anymore,, I mean we have all the chains,, and I love me some Popeyes,, but nothing like when I was a kid and after church we would go to the Battle House Cafeteria and they had the best Fried Chicken that I can remember,, Morrisons cafeteria in the mall also had some decent Chicken..
The last time I had some good chicken was a couple of years ago in Guntersville at a place called Bruces,, but I think Covid took it out.

We have a catfish place around here called Uncle Bud's Catfish Shack.... Tuesday is all you can eat catfish and Sunday is all you can eat Chicken.

The Dan'l Boone Inn in Boone has fairly good chicken and awesome ham biscuits. They serve it family style. I can't post the link because I am still learning how to use my phone but anyone going to the meetup should consider checking it out.

The Sawmeal restaurant in Brent AL has absolutely some of the best fried chicken you will ever eat. They have a daily buffet and everything is great. I ate there on a trip and told the owner how good it was. The cook was sitting there and he said it should be she has been cooking it every day for thirty years. I tipped her 5 bucks. The area used to be big in timber and the name is a play on sawmill.

Drive down on occasion but do not go on a Sunday.

If I had to choose one for the rest of my life give me Fried Chicken. I love some catfish though, especially with some cheese grits, hush puppies and Cole slaw.
