Has anyone tried purchasing a firearm lately?

The CCP classes are all canceled here, sadly. However, open carry is 100% legal, and almost expected out here, lol.
Here in Michigan, we have CCP by application (with classes and fees) but we technically have open carry as well.
However, some guys here in Grand Rapids decided to make a point and almost ruined it...they walked down a pretty busy street with ARs in hand, and of course someone called the cops. I mean really, what’s the idea here? Have fun with the cop being on your ass for the rest of your life.
If you think you’re tough like that, go have fun in Flint or Detroit. I guarantee it won’t be the cops that give you trouble.

Open carry of long guns is pretty much legal everywhere. Maybe not even a pretty much, not 100% on that though. Also, if you have a group openly carrying ARs who is going to challenge them? Not defending them, just because you can do something does not mean you should. The divide grows...

I don't need anymore...

I understand the purpose of these groups but I disagree with their methods. The purpose is to exercise your rights and inform the public and police what these rights are. It would just seem to me the way to go about it would be to involve the local police force. Meet with them in advance, explain what they are doing ... find out about local laws and hopefully the department can use it as a proactive training tool. I fully understand and appreciate anyone standing up for and exercising their rights, just be smart about it.

This. We have several 2A groups in Idaho. About once a year there is a 2A march in Boise. It's not illegal to open carry long guns, and outside of the 2A marches you will see it occasionally.

We have legal open carry and legal conceal carry (no permit needed). That's the way it should be. An armed society is a polite society.

Our Constitutional Carry law used to be just for Idaho residents, but we recently changed it to all Americans. Freedom, bitches!!

Hey man, what was that site you posted for ammo? I'm not even gonna look at Bud's prices
after seeing those.

I agree with you and should have been a little more precise about what I am saying. I have no issue in anyone open carrying, or concealed as far as that goes. As long as someone is legally carrying, exercise your rights. It's just that if you are going to organize an event for educating police and citizens at large, be proactive with the LEO community and educate there first. It is a lot easier and safer to have a captain explain your rights/intents to the force than have to do so after a patrolman disarms you at gunpoint, even if they are in the wrong. .

Yall keep doing things like that, the Cali horde will no longer consider Idaho a "safe place" to move too. 😉
