I usually don't pay attention to anything in the south until I check the WHI when I saw they were taking this real serious I went, welp, yep, this gonna be a big one

Ft Meyers Beach is under water. The Caloosahatchee River is delivering the surge inland too.

I know a guy that bought a double wide there last year. He told a mutual
friend that his insurance is “not great”. I have no idea where he planned to shelter, but he might not have anything to go home to.

My daughter is hunkered down in Cocoa Fl East of Orlando. I tried to get them to evacuate here, but her stubborn ass refused. I wonder where she got that stubborn gene from? Had to be her mother!

So Ian's eye is sitting in the Gulf gaining steam, set to cross Florida rather quickly then hit the Atlantic gaining even more steam before absolutely rolling SC & NC.

The eye is predicted to go right over Asheville NC which means upstate SC is about to have massive flooding too from all the water coming down from the NC mountains

I honestly just learned that at the beginning of hurricane season. I didn't know the actual govt was using it all this time
