I’ve only had one group of trick-or-treaters. This is bullshit!

What’s wrong with kids today?
Dude. Fake news killed trick-or-treating in the traditional sense when we were kids with their “razor blades and drugs in candy” fear porn in the early 80s. We were a neighborly society until everyone had a cable box or dish watching the 24 hour fake news cycle. Suddenly, nobody trusted anyone and everyone started getting alarm systems and ready to sue for any given reason. This shit happened almost overnight right in front of our eyes. CNN debuted in 1980. Do the math! #MAGA

EDIT: trick or treating has sucked ass since 1983.

Satanic panic was real.

I had one group but what a group. Sat here with a big bowl of candy with all the lights on for two hours and nothing. Then suddenly a loud banging at the door.

Opened the door and beheld the Munchkin horde. There was about 20 young age 3-5 kids filling up the porch and steps. All very nice. I loaded them up.

Three blocks away at the Aquatic Center there was a trunk and treat that hosted over 3,000 kids. Kids are too spoilt.

The neighborhood I live in is at the edge of the city. We have never gotten much foot traffic, plus the houses are more spread apart than your usual housing tract.

This year with the grandkids we went to a friends house in the center of our city for a kids Halloween party and trick or treating.

We experienced the opposite of what you guys are posting. I’m not exaggerating when I say there were hundreds of kids out. You had to walk on the street as some spots it was so packed with kids.

My brother in another city said they ran out of the candy (300 pieces) they had. Never before had that problem.

We live in one of the few neighborhoods in a fairly rural area, so we get families bringing their kids from all around to trick or treat here. It's cool cause the neighborhood folks totally embrace it and we just have a good time. You get the few jerks rolling in that drive too fast through the streets with kids all over the place, but mostly it works just fine.

We had about 20 kids which is the most we’ve had since we moved into our neighborhood. Kind of a perfect day.

Wife gets to be happy passing out candy, I was drunk/gummied on the couch soaking up a Birds W from earlier in the day and watching Ghostbusters. Made IP Cheesesteak. And then got to munch on the leftovers before the wife took them into school the next day.
