Is the Soundoff board down forever?

Things have a way of coming full circle. Not sure the new "old" soundoff board will be revived but here is just as good. We need to spread the word to the good peeps like slim and a few others
 
Just postulating here, Is it possible that the owner of the new sound off played a really well thought out prank on all y'all. If he did it could be legendary. And assholish for sure.
I guess i should include myself in that as i had an account there, though I wasn't very active with only a few posts.

Possible, but doubtful. NR put in a lot of time and energy creating a new landing spot for us. He started out with a sub reddit I think, then created a different board on a free platform, and then eventually set up a real message board. Not only that, he spent a lot of time helping people solve their posting issues, and taking advice from people about ways to improve the site.

I‘m not sure if anybody checked that first free board he made or the sub reddit he created. Maybe there could be answers there, but im kinda worried that Leroy might be right about a possible health issue. I don’t think it was a money issue.

I agree with you, I couldn't imagine someone going through all the trouble of creating a board like that and getting it to run smoothly would do what I suggested either. But ya know it's still a possibility.

Yep, the format is just as good.....and this place has been around for several years so we can at least have some confidence it won't suddenly go tits up without warning like the new Soundoff did. I'm grateful it exists along with the Hoop. I will continue to use both because at this point, we've had 2 boards die on us and we need to always have a backup plan.
