Happy late birthday, Marines. A coworker got himself in a bit of a bind dating the wife of a Jarhead(met her in a bar in TN). He honestly did not know she was married until the guy's deployment was over and she broke it off. He was scared ... enough that he broke his lease and moved ... and asked me how good was the Marine's fighting training. I told him they were not really trained to fight individuals and as some relief began to show on his face I added they are trained to kill them.

I told my wife abut a couple of barfights we had with some Marines and she said "they were trying to kill y'all". No, honey they were doing their best not to kill us and I for one admire their restraint.
