Oak Island

Guess it depends on how much building they had to do to make the swamp. I don't think they dropped well over even 50 feet of dirt in the thing. No way 100 or so feet of sediment happened along there naturally either in just a few hundred or so years...... My assumption all along has been it was a shallow harbor kind of area and they just dammed up the opening.

I have 10 years of experience working a sand mine. I've seen 10 feet of sediment buildup in a week. Figuring out what happens when you are changing the ground underneath us....science can't even figure it out. It does whatever it's gonna do.

I don't doubt that at all, but another thing is that they've found swamped tree stumps and other things that were dated back to a few hundred years or so at very shallow levels.....up in the "eye of the swamp" area if I'm not mistaken (the "paved area")....which would be right smack dab in the middle of the deepest area if there was a channel between two islands.

Another thing I've been wondering is why they didn't call it Duck Island cause that freakin thing looks like a duck......

Because it's no where near Oregon.😁

They are gonna find a multi million dollar treasure, I'm convinced of that. What means the most to me as a history nerd....I want them to find definitive evidence of where the treasure came from. I'm really rooting for the Knights Templar connection.

The lead cross is still one of the most compelling things they've found related to the Knights Templar, but there has been so much more. Guess the bag seal lead was mined in the same general area as the cross..... I'm rooting for that connection too, but I also think they've found so many other non-Templar related stuff that maybe the island has been a place where multiple folks have deposited treasure.

I totally want them to find all kinds of gold and silver artifacts and such, but the whole history of the place is what I want to see laid out. Seems like all the big naval players of the day were there at one time or other....British, French, Spanish, Portuguese.....

Dude, they are digging in a way that is unheard of in history. They only way they could find it faster would be full blown open pit mine.

While I do realize that, I also realize that this season we're watching right now has been in the bag for a while.....so whatever they have done has already happened and I WANNA KNOW!! haha
