No, not really, but it makes for interesting TV for the most part.

They have another show on History called World War II Gold (or something like that) that's not near as good in my opinion.

Either way, though, people have been searching for the supposed treasure on Oak Island for years and years, so why not make a TV show about it? lol

Several items, especially the Templar cross, are worth more than $500 each. But definitely need to find a pile of treasure to recoup money spent. They have already rewritten some North American history already, and will leave a lasting legacy like Heinrich Schliemann, Howard Carter, and others of that ilk.

Spent some time catching up last night. I'm not all caught up, but this year seems different than past seasons. Looks like they are going "all in". There's entirely too many "coincidences" for Oak Island to be a wild goose chase. I firmly believe there's something important there, I'm just not sure what it's gonna end up being. Somebody went through a lot of trouble to build the "flood tunnels" for a reason, though. The way everything is dating, strongly suggests Templars. I do believe the "swamp" is man made and has a ship buried in it.

If you'd like some background noise, Buffett has the Cabin Fever series of past concerts (Key West, Sydney, Dublin.....) that are up on youtube. I've listened to a couple of them over the last few nights.

Sure does seem like both those things are true about the swamp. They seem to be off to a good start with the finds this season. Hope it's a good one. Also, they have that Beyond Oak Island show going now. Interested in seeing how that one pans out......

I haven't went on a Buffett binge in a while. I see that happening come the weekend.

My 15 minutes ( turned out to be about 3 seconds) of fame involved a Buffett concert. Been to half a dozen. Took my two parakeets (kids) to one. During the concert camera and spot light is on us. Didn’t think much about it.

A lot of years later watching special CMT/60 minutes special on Buffett on tv. Sure enough, there is a 3 second blip of me and my kids at the concert as part of the footage.
