Took me 4 tries to get it right. Funny thing is, we were childhood sweethearts. I guess the other 3 couldn't compete with the expectation she created when we were best friends climbing trees n shit back before either of us knew what hormones were. We have the same birthday. She is exactly 1 year younger than me.

I remember you said the song "Perfect" was at your wedding as you were not going to let her go this time. Can you believe I remember that? Anywho, I'm glad you didn't let her go.

I’ve told it before but hell I will share it again. Every day an old partner of mine use to walk into work and say, “ I don’t know if I’m on my 3rd marriage or my 3rd divorce .”

It ended up being his 3rd divorce. Cool thing is, he re-connected with his first wife and they have been together for years now.

Both of our Moms told us at our wedding that they always expected us to get married, they just didn't expect us to be in our 50s before it happened. She owned my heart when I was 12 and she still owns it today. Say what you want, but we are proof that the term "soulmate" is real. Life is a strange journey. I'm the luckiest man in the world because our journey made full circle back to where it was supposed to be all those years ago. Ain't many out there that can say that.
