Official Proof Democrats hate America thread

of course the 25th has to be invoked
by the VP and cabinet,
but you may be underestimating the power of the DNC
and the well-oiled machine behind it -
I could be, but the DNC ran into a PR disaster with Bernie and Hillary because the superdelegates structure was distorting the race against Bernie. Bernie forced a change to that structure and the DNC had to placate the left. Superdelegates cannot vote on the first ballot unless one candidate has secured a final majority vote from all of the voting delegates that are pledged. If Biden wants the nomination, it is his. BTW, CNN actually has a good article on what happened.

recall that quite well -
are you of the opinion that democrats play by the rules?

...somethin bout "the ends justify the means"

and they're in the midst of a PR disaster now -

These rules would be a disaster to break and there is no upside. The "powerhouses" waiting in the wings have no ground game in place and I doubt Biden would share his campaign cash. Newsome will not play well in swing states, and many Democrats will sit this one out.

True. Rules only matter insofar as they’re adhered to and enforced.
IMHO there will be a bigger loss for the DNC if they try some obvious shit. There would be so much blowback from their base and independent voters that down ticket offices would be placed in play. Sure, they could use funding as leverage in the backroom, but if Joe calls any bluff they are screwed.

In the end I think it’s all moot- I think they once again run the play “report Trump loses, despite observable reality.” and hope it’s successful. If so, Obama gets his 4th term and will succeed in transforming America into a socialist shithole we will never recover from barring a second revolution. If it fails, Trump is elected but a lame duck from day one, with the establishment allowing him to be sworn in but undermining him and plotting against him at every turn every day until he’s removed, serves out a success less term, or dies.
