Official Proof Democrats hate America thread

Beef is going up in price because we have the smallest cow herd since the 50s. There's nothing Trump or any politician can do about that unless they stop urban sprawl, urban flight, hunters buying up tracts of land and not allowing cattle to graze on it, and an end to crp. Now with that said there is still room to regrow the cow herd in some areas out west that have been ravaged by drought in recent years and have had to sell cows. But, restocking is a slow process especially when bred heifers are selling for between 4 and 5 thousand a head, and if you keep your own that you raised, it's costing you nearly the same by the time the first calf hits the ground when you figure in feed, pasture, mineral, equipment. etc, and what you would have made by instead selling her at the sale barn as a feeder calf. I personally keep 15 to 20 replacements a year. That's roughly 80 grand that I have invested in those heifers by the time they drop a calf.
Well, there's also the sinister global push to stop people from eating meat. Pricing people out of it is the smartest, safest way, ultimately.

And shit breaks down. Shocker. They don't play by the rules but expect us to.

So be it. They ignore the supreme court, Trump should ignore them.
Can you explain what's going on here?

In the past, it seems that judges try to uphold the constitution, even though Trump does not want to. and yall here get all mad when a judge doesnt bow down to Trump as king.

This appears to be something different? Like, the supreme court that makes decisions based on the constitution made some sort of decision, but these 2 judges are opposed to whatever this subject is about.

Comments about Trump aside, yes, it is exactly the later. The Supreme Court has made decisions (which are meant to be final), and lower level judges are baiscally ignoring and doing their own thing and seeking to impose their will. And since it defies this court, and Trump, don't expect to hear much anger from your usual left leaning outlets.

What is the decision about? Are lower court judges usually allowed to send a decision back if they feel it is unconstitutional? That's a general question, not sure if that's what's happening here.

Well, here's a layman's explanation...if a ruling is made, by say, a judge, it can be appealed in court, and ruled upon, and then further appealed, and it goes to a state's supreme court, who can kick it back down to a lower court, or make a ruling upon it. Federal level is the same...district courts rulings can be challenged or appealed, and eventually issues end up at the supreme court who make federally binding rulings. Think legalizing gay marriage....something that never passed in congress and sure never would have passed in 50% or more of states, was ruled upon by SCOTUS, and then, BAM, law. Well, these judges are basically now saying "we don't like their pro-trump decision, so, we'll ignore it".

A very, very slippery slope, and immediate imo.

The Supreme Court ruled that District Court judges, the lowest level of federal courts, has not the authority to issue nationwide injunctions except in class action suits. There are a lot of hurdles to get a class action going. The District Court judges are trying to work round this and SCOTUS will probably slap a judge or three on the pee pee.

I see now. Thanks for the explanation.

What they needed to do was what Alito told them in his minority opinion. The SCOTUS needed to limit the district court judges' ability to declare something a class for class action lawsuits so as to be able to continue issuing nationwide injunctions like they were doing before. It took all of 24 hours for them to start doing this.
