Welp glad ya'll are having a good trip. My Nephew's wedding in Keystone CO was great. In the Rockies, great weather, views and had two great gatherings with the rehearsal dinner and the reception/dinner after the wedding. The reception dinner was at a place with a stream behind it where people were trout fishing.
Six of the family was together. We shared a great two-bedroom condo. Sunday night my nephew and his wife came by, and I took them and the rest to dinner. They have actually been married two years but C19 delayed the ceremony and his wife had always wanted a mountain wedding.
Sunday night found out there was not a shuttle available to take us on the hour and a half trip back to Denver. Monday morning, we were scrambling and found an Uber. It was a Porsche SUV and we got seven people in it along with the luggage. Necessity is the mother of invention. The driver was from London and a gear head. He and I discussed Porsche IMS problems along with other things. He was great entertainment pointing out all the tourist info.
Got on the plane and about to leave when they said they were taking us off the plane due to a security issue. Got off and they informed us the flight into Love Field was cancelled. Woman shot up the baggage area at Love and they cancelled all flights in and out. I was stuck in Denver with literally the clothes on my back in fact watched my luggage being loaded off the plane. The clothes I had was pants and a sweatshirt as it was 60 in the mountains but 90 in Denver. Bought a phone charger, charged the phone and got a hotel that offered shuttle service along with a message from SouthWest my flight was changed to a 5:40 departure the next morning. Damn folks the shotting was in Texas, wipe up the blood and land the planes. Who knew Texicans were such pussies?
When I checked in the desk clerk saw my ring and gave me a Roll Tide. Dinner was 8 blocks away walking in 90-degree weather in a sweatshirt. The two next to me were VMI fans and we discussed CFB. It was a guy and his son. The Dad had open heart and a month later lost his wife to cancer. The trip was to places him and his wife went to, and his son went with him.
The 3:30 shuttle was full and they booked me on the 4:00. Was not sure I could get to the airport and on the plane using it, so I waited for the 3:30 and hopped on. When we got to the next hotel the driver said sorry, we are a seat short, but the people said we can scrunch up. I then commented don't you hate it when they overbook.
Got in at 2 Tuesday and spelt literally until 7 the next morning when I had to go to work as a customer called me Monday and was bringing in a rollover check.
Great time with a lot of experiences.
Hope the next few days are great for ya'll and excuse the novel but if you don't want to read it you are probably a shit, and nobody cares.
