Regular Season is done, what did you think of your teams performance?

Did they do better? Did they do worse? Something that makes you really look forward to next year? Something there you really dread?

Have to admit I expected 10-2 ish from ND with 9 wins as a floor. I expected a dumb loss I.e. Marshall / Stanford somewhere. Did not expect to lose to both.

I also didn't expect the USC loss. I figured they would have depth issues by November on the lines, and that ND would be able to exert control on the ground against them. But I said that before the season started just looking at depth charts.

I did expect to win either of Ohio St and or Clemson.

All in all I am still not terribly happy it is Freeman, I don't know he really showed me enough this year to be comfortable with him forward. I am very not happy with the OC call this year. But part of that is just blind rage for all things Tommy Rees. Fucking little Eminem Jr. wannabe. Guy has been a pox on the program for a decade first as a player and now as a QB coach / OC.

Overall not happy with the season and the inconsistent play on offense and defense. Expected Brown's team, especially with the addition of Daniels and Graham as OC, to take the next step, but instead regressed (6-6 to 5-7). They did come away with wins against the pre season top 3 (Baylor, Oklahoma and Okie State), but lost to teams they had no business losing to, like Iowa State.

At one point, I thought Brown would be replaced at the end of the season if he did not win 8 games, but when they replaced the AD, I changed my mind. I think the new AD will let him coach next year while he/she researches who they want to tie their future to.

I went into the season hopeful. I knew the PSU game was going to be the barometer and it was. We have had serious issues with our O line since Gus' last couple of years and it continued. I am not surprised we finished below .500 due to two poor recruiting classes and a lot of portal losses as well. I am pissed at our boosters for undermining Harsin from day one but it was great to see Caddy unite the fans and team.

Horrid year. We don't deserve a bowl game and should turn it down when offered.

Defensive side of the ball was pretty good like usual. They are the reason Iowa isn't 1-11. They spent way to much time on the field every game.
The entire offense needs thrown out.
If we had even an average offense Iowa would have been a force to be reckoned with.

Only complaint is the NC State loss. Has that game in their hands. Woulda been a 10 win regular season and real shot at an NY6 game. But after the last few years, a 9-3 season with a state title is pretty nice.
