Also boarding the plane this morning, WR coach Dennis Simmons, Director of Ops Clarke Stroud and Strength coach Bennie Wylie

Lots of Speculation right now as to be expected, a name that is on just about everyones top 3 is Venables, who knows what happens, me personally, I feel like this is an opportunity to start a rebuild before heading to SEC, no sour grapes LR wasnt the guy. I want OU back to playing hardnose football, tired of the finesse

I love Bob, I think he is a hell of a coach. And I have said before if the ND job comes up in the next couple of years. He would be in my top 5 calls. The only hesitation I would have with him.

He already has his ring, and his place in the hall of fame. My fear would be he is Kelly all over again. Coach with a good mind, but may not be hungry enough to get the job done.

I read something earlier about Venables (who's son is leaving Clemson this year) and also Shane Beamer.

He's coming in as interim, which seems kind of odd to just come in for the bowl game. He's surely gonna have a role in their search if nothing else (Rich Brooks, years ago, came to UK to head the search committee and ended up becoming our coach). I just hope Bob isn't back in Oklahoma to get Mark to come there.......

I would not be against Mark Stoops, but I hope they leave him alone, he has done a great job for you guys and built a team of his own.
