I went to walmart this morniing and got a close good parking spot, I was sitting there finishing my cigarette and noticed a guy sitting on the concrete floor just outside the door. in less than 5 minutes, I saw two adult men stop by this guy and pull their wallets out and give him a bill, not sure how much.. after the 2nd one went in, the guy got up and fast walked back to his car somewhere in the lot.
when I came out and was loading the bags into my truck, a woman approached me saying she was cold and didnt have any food, could I spare some money. after she left me, she approached another man, and he got his wallet out and handed her a bill..
im wondering if the world is getting Kinder, or Dumber, or was this just an outlier.

Not as a general rule, but I have. I usually dont carry cash though. I dont even have any change in my car, because I always use the debit card.
This. If the person looks legit, and I have small bills, I’ll give a few. If they look sketchy and are asking, I don’t. Sometimes I see the same beggar every weekend in the same location- those types, fool me once…

I have on occasion given to individuals begging but it's been quite awhile. We don't see many of them here. I prefer to give to people anonymously that I know are in need. There is a family in my community whose daughter has a disorder that makes her bones extremely fragile. She has had so many broken bones i doubt that her parents even know how many any more. She literally broke her femur walking across the yard. They have had more medical bills and more trips to specialists and hospital stays than any family should ever have to endure. They aren't made of money and I know their 2 other kids do without sometimes. A letter in the mail without a return address on it with some cash every once in a while I hope does some good.

That’s awesome.

got......welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll...you know the rest.

I'll help people that don't ask for it, example; a while back I was in the grocery store and the lady in front of me was checking out and was frantically going through her purse looking for a debit card and couldn't find it.. she had about $20 with of stuff and I told the cashier that I'd get it. I paid for her groceries and she asked if she could pay me back, I told her to pay it forward!
But bums, I figure if they can camp out in a parking lot, they can go to work.
