The Coronavirus Effect

At this point, the only thing that's left is UFC which has an event in Brazil later today. An Olympic Boxing qualifier in London this weekend is also still at green light status.

As for the professional ranks of boxing, at least one promotion in erring on the side of caution.

As for my own thoughts, I think this all sucks. One of the best times of the year for sports just got wiped out, but this is where we're at. We're not going to get to see if Oregon and South Carolina meet up for what would have been an epic NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament game in either the National Championship or Final 4 level. I considered the Men's side to be more wide open this year and was looking forward to seeing how that all played out.

That said, if things are as bad as the reactions would indicate or even if the threat of such is bad enough, then all of these organizations, from Sports to Broadway, to school districts and colleges, to theme parks are making the proper decision. Understand, a bad day and a good lawyer can wreck someone's shit quick like and I don't think any of these entities want to deal with that.
 
The Pro Wrestling Arts community however is still going. WWE is going ahead as normal for the time being. AEW has moved one of their upcoming events from New York to Florida. The NWA's Crockett Cup is still scheduled for next month along with whatever currently scheduled NWA Powerrr tapings in Atlanta. Impact and WOW are continuing as normal though I'm unfamiliar with their events/taping schedule.

ROH still has their WrestleMania weekend event set for Lakeland, but have made this announcement for this weekend's events.

The NWSL also cancelled their preseason matches, but the regular season is still set to start next month.

One of my closest friends has a son on the UCI baseball team, his baseball career ended yesterday. Poor kid is devastated, I feel terrible for him. Tough deal
 
Formula E and Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy have suspended their respective seasons. Jaguar's series runs as a support for FE and FE is part of FIA which also governs F1.

The Guam Primary and Northern Mariana Caucus are still scheduled for this weekend. The next big mainland day for Primary Season is March 17 with Arizona, Florida, Illinois, and Ohio still on schedule for the moment, then American Samoa the following day.

So the whole season is done? I have only seen that all championship tournaments are cancelled. But I figure all seasons will be soon enough if not already.
