Really? I had no idea. I’d think black bears would leave the area then.

I know Grizzlies are huge, but it looks like a black bear cub and just a big older Grizzly, but not full grown, at all. Not that a black bear could ever stand a chance.

Most of the time the black bears avoid them, but there are occasions where a grizzly wants one for a meal.

I was reading a book from an old hunting guide/trapper up in Alaska. He said he witnessed a black bear kill a grizzly that had attacked it. It died as well but won the war. If I remember right the claws on its back feet disemboweled the grizzly. He said that dosen't happen very often.
