So the wife wanted to go see her azaleas, which are on their second bloom. She’s still too weak following her surgery to walk that far, so I put her in the truck and drove her down there. Got her out of the truck, and this
is the first thing she sees…

Her walk was done at that point !
I think it’s an Eastern Garter snake, definitely non-venomous….
