Quite the opposite my friend, I watched my uncle one morning in a hurry run the hot water till it got it's hottest, fill a cup, pour in instant coffee from the jar, twirl it around in the cup, kill it, and said, let's go!

ok, just opened this thread on my laptop and got a good look at this photo,, fold out table, cooler to the left, badass small bottle propane griddle with BACON sizzling, same propane rig for boiling coffee water, plate of cooked bacon, beach and Pacific Ocean in the background with a rocky cove to block the wind, you're a fuckin super Hero,, Forgiveness my ass, I'm jealous as fuck!

It’s been 90 here the last couple of days and I can’t enjoy it because I know it just means we are deep into a drought. I know I am like a broken record on this and we have been through this before, but it concerns me.

It’s supposed to rain Monday which I hope happens. Back in the 90’s we went through this and had the March miracle where it rained for something like 17 straight days. We need an April miracle.

Our moisture profile in the soil here was depleted with a dry late summer and fall, then the ground froze before we got a major snow to insulate it. When our snow would melt it just ran off instead of the moisture soaking in. This rain is something we really needed. It's come nice and slow and mostly been absorbed. It's muddy though.
