The new and improved Good Morning thread!

I saw a documentary on John Deere , and they were getting sued over that. Your only option is to call their certified service tech because literally everything on the combine is computer controlled, the software is proprietary, and they will NOT sell you the software or scan tools to talk to it. And, it’s not like you can just load one of those big bastards on your truck and take it in, you have to pay for a service call for them to come to your location. Screw that.
But but but technology. But but but progress. But but but efficiency.

Exactly. John deere, Caseih both the same in that aspect. They want you to call them for everything, they have a deal on tractors and combines now that sends everything about the tractor to the dealer as well. They are supposed to know what's wrong with it before you call them.

Morning.
Last bedroom, of four, and a hallway, done as of last night. Just a half a mile of baseboards and door casings to do now.

Neck, knees, and hands all aching. Waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in before jumping on the trim.
Looking good, but the dreaded baseboards are next. It's been a busy week over here but today is organize paperwork day. A papercut is possibly the worst I am facing today in the ache and pain department.

I had to change the oil in a tractor today and looked at the hours on the hydraulic filters and unfortunately they needed changed. I hate doing that on this tractor but their 1000 hours was about up. Fuck the engineer that designed that system. No matter what, you take a bath in hydraulic oil. You have to lay on your back underneath them to change them. There is no shut-off valve. When you are unscrewing them hydraulic oil pours out down the side of the filter and then down your arms, and there was a little breeze that was blowing the drips right into my face . Fuck that engineer.

I think that every damn engInert should have to spend a year working on the shit they design before they’re allowed to provide a damn thing to the consumers. My wife’s new car has to have the entire front valance and bumper removed to change a damn headlight. Total bullshit.
