Today is my birthday, and I turned 60 today. My kids and grandkids all came over and we cooked steaks, corn on the cob, mashed taters, and Mac n Cheese ( for the grandkids mostly but I got a spoonful ) and a chocolate cake.

Now I am settling in, and listening to Jelly Roll on my new wireless gaming headset my grandkids got me and breaking up a fat bud. After I smoke this gonna play Far Cry 6 until bedtime.

This has been an excellent day.

Sounds like you had a great birthday! Here’s wishing you many more!

BTW everyone I got two pieces of good news today:
First and most important, my wife's pathology report came in and she is cancer free. The biopsy practically got all of the cancer out and the surgery just cleaned it up a bit. I can't thank you guys enough for the thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and support you gave me and my family.

The Army released its "rack and stack" (promotion) list and in his MOS, my son is #8 and will be officially an E7 on 01DEC. This confirms it, the Army is FUBAR'ed. Going from company commander probation with a general discharge on the table to E7 within six months ... that is almost as bad as the Navy letting me reenlist 11 months after receiving reduction in rank, 45 days restriction, 45 days extra duty, and forfeiture of 2/3 monthly pay for three months.

Outstanding!!!!

Evening

also annoying I have like a 30 second wait between posts. Does everybody have that, or just me cause Im suspect as hell?

Same for me too and, I assume, for everyone else (except maybe the mods). Of course, you could still be suspect as hell, but I'm pretty sure that's not why there's a break time between posts lol.
