20231122_144511.jpgthis is not what you're supposed to find in November. A brand new calf out of a heifer that wasn't supposed to have a calf till March first, I thought. I did some thinking about it, and I remembered back in February my replacement heifers got out for about an hour, with the first calvers. I had thrown a young bull in with the first calvers just because he was going to get his ass kicked with the bigger bulls and all the heifers were bred, so he could hang out with the girls and there would be no problems, until the replacements got out. Now the heifer can't get up, probably has a pinched nerve in her pelvis, at least the calf is alive.
