The new and improved Good Morning thread!

As if doing flooring wasn't enough, my old Ford started leaking antifreeze a week ago. Pulled off all the accessories in the front, got to pulling the water pump and the timing chain cover broke loose. Fuck me to tears. 20220401_161655.jpg

Had to even drop the oil pan to get the front main seal in place, and reinstall everything. So far so good, no leaks, and running again.

As long as it's not the daily driver, that kinda stuff is fun by me. If it's a vehicle you depend on daily, or regularly, then it's a total pain in the ass lol

I don't hate it, but a water pump replacement, shouldn't turn into all that. When that timing chain cover popped loose about fucking lost it. My dog, that usually just lays within about 6 feet of wherever I am, got up and went in the house. I'm not a mechanic, but pretty good with wrenching when I need to. I have been through this truck, front to back more than once, and owned it for 25 years. I really just need to paint it and upohlster the seats and Im basically done. 20211104_173839.jpgDSCN9974.JPG

Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about getting it all back together properly. That first initial start after getting it all put back was a little nerve wrecking. Fired right up, had a little dry knock as I forgot to fill the oil filter, but ran around the block, let it run for about an hour, and she is all buttoned up.
