The new and improved Good Morning thread!

How did the boat ride go @RazzlDazzl ?

Pussed out at 103mph. The TLDR version, my buddy and I made a little old boat go really fast.

I think it was you that mentioned engine swapping a boat, (y'all forgive the dad joke on Father's Day), but we went a bit overboard. Through some horse trading we wound up with an old Skeeter bass boat and a 150hp Mariner, the salt water version of a Mercury Blackmax. I think the boat originally had a 60hp engine but could be optioned with a 90. Pretty much the same platform that I grew up on with the 150 swap, so a little boring for me. We rebuilt the stringers, then it got a jack plate, trim tabs, and the Mercury Racing parts to bring it up to 275hp and a stainless five blade prop. For sleeper status, we cut up the cracked engine cowl and glassed in pieces from a 115hp Suzuki.

Happy Father's Day Folks! Taking my popasan for a river run once the brisket finishes. He thinks it's just a 150. I hope everyone has a great day.

My daughters 2 groups at 100 yards with my 22-250

Good pappy, start 'em young and I love that caliber.

A little post script for those that made it through my boat novel, I traded my first rifle for the engine. New England Firearms .243, break action, bull barrel, but modular so you can swap a shotgun or muzzleloader barrel with a screwdriver, also youth and adult stocks. I didn't take my first deer with it but my first buck. The son of the guy I traded it to took his first buck with it last season.
