The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Apparently, my son is still trying to prove he is my offspring:
Long story medium, in March he was assigned to repair relationships with a few schools that the Army screwed up by not keeping their word and/or obeying school rules. by the end of the school year, he had to commit to doing a major back to school event at the schools in SEP. before making the commitment, he got written confirmation from three officers at bigrade, battalion and USAREC that they would reserve funding for this event. Last week they pulled the funding ... couple of hundred bucks ... and then forbade him from paying it himself or even attending the event. My son went to the Army Recruiters website, posted the emails with the guarantees, email canceling his permission and posted, "Since your word as officers are not worth the paper they are printed on, Fuck you, fuck you and fuck you".

The next morning his CO had him report in full dress uniform and presented him with an unsigned package that ordered him to me involuntarily separated within 30 days for insubordination. CO told him that he was keeping that in arms reach all month and the next squeak from my son will mean it will be signed. After 30 days, my son is to keep it in his arm's reach until he is reassigned next spring.

Wow man, that took some balls. Over a few hundred when the Biden administration is spending what they're spending, this reeks of bullshit, would love to know if the schools targeted for relationship repair are moderates

It's not as much as a matter of balls but more of a lack of brains. There were better ways to handle it that are legal, even if he wanted to get some officers that lied to him in trouble. Not that it was the right thing at all, but I would have done about the same as he did under the circumstances. Or worse. I have said many times, we are jackasses.

This shit happens every year about this time because it is the last month of the fiscal year. Commands want to have spent all of their allotted budgeted monies by now lest they can't justify raising their budget. It's not about the money as much as it is being able to tell the bean counters that they had to cancel events due to funding (so give us more next year). If they come in under budget or meet all expectations on their budget, funds for them are cut next year. The schools aren't anti-military, just the Army recruiters have burned bridges. I guess they are moderate in function because they are right leaning locally but in a left wing dominated state.

Just be thankful that it wasnt covered in a waterfall of electrically over-engineered BS that the foreign cars come with.
