Good morning

I think I just had an LSD flashback Once was enough!View attachment 20265
Paint and chair rails installed. I hit the subfloor with a level and laser to check for level. Damn floor is 1/2” high on one long side, and 1/4”- 1/2” low on one of the short sides. Not even close to plumb, so I’m going to have to do a full pour of self leveling compound on the entire room. You can’t install tile on an unplumbed floor or it will crack. Fun times. I just finished building “dams” around the room to contain the leveling compound, and have some more stuff to do before I caulk those seams and make the pour. It will probably be next weekend before I pour it out. I’m estimating 6-7 bags of leveling compound to do it.
No project I ever start is simple!
I swear you need to attend my one hour symposium on quitting ... it includes lessons on how to solicit, evaluate, and finalize bids from contractors.View attachment 20265

Edit to add: I still have one window to paint... I had shit stacked by that window and didn't feel like moving it when I painted the trim. I'll paint it after the floor leveling is done.View attachment 20265

I probable will quit for the day, at least until I cut the grass later. I have physical therapy today, so I don't want to overdo it on this gimpy shoulder. At least when I cut the grass, I'll be sitting down in comfort lol!I swear you need to attend my one hour symposium on quitting ... it includes lessons on how to solicit, evaluate, and finalize bids from contractors.![]()
