The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Gah! Just got done talking with the AC guy... he says it is some bare wires that run from the thermostat that is the issue and he said he would need to schedule another guy to come out with him to replace them and here is the cherry on top... it will be Friday until they can do it!

I cannot even describe how pissed off I am right now. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

We are in the 70s this week with rain. How hot is it there? Also my condolences on your sinuses. My allergies round here are debilitating.

Yesterday it was right at 90 degrees and it is around 72 for the next several days until Sunday when it starts climbing again... so not dangerous or anything just a real pita plus when I run my computer it generates a crap ton of heat from the vid card alone ... hell it sits on the floor right next to my leg and I have had it heat up my leg so much it felt like it was on fire. Normally I run the ceiling fan all the time in my office so that it gets good circulation but yesterday I shut it down when I went to work and put a fan pointed right at it last night so it would not over heat. I usually leave it running 24/7 but I am shutting it off when I am not using it so there is not a risk of burning up the cpu/gpu or power supply.
 
UPDATE: Well, just goes to show ya that when you vent your frustrations to friends good things happen. I was talking to a friend of mine who we often watch games at each others houses etc so he calls me on my way home from work and I just unloaded about my AC situation... he says "Dude, give me a sec and let me call my guy. I will call you right back." after about 10 mins he calls back and tells me his guy will come out and do the repair tomorrow!! So, I am calling the other place first thing and telling them I will pay for the diagnostic but I want to cancel the appointment.

So stuffy in here but I have the fans going and Imma have a cheat day and eat Taco Bell ( yeah, I know lol ).

I am a happy camper now. My friends guy came out this morning took one look at it and said that it looks like someone hit the wires out of the back of the unit with a weed eater because they were stripped off and not melted. My lawn guy was there late Monday. Me and him are gonna have a conversation tomorrow when I find out when he is going to pay for my repair.

I have cold air tho so I am much happier.
