The new and improved Good Morning thread!

I got a great, possibly the greatest, Fathers Day gift from my grandsons. My son closed on his first house last month and is just now getting fully unpacked and adjusted. Last night around 0230 local, my four year old grandson burst into my son's room shouting, "FIRE!" The house was full of smoke both upstairs and down. It had an odd green hue and there was no fire.

Apparently my 15 year old grandson found some fireworks including reloadable smoke bomb mortars with the loads. He claims to have lit one of the smoke bombs MacGyver style and panicked. Instead of throwing it out a window, he chose to run it outside from his upstairs bedroom. Apparently he sprayed all walls, stairs, handrails, and carpet with that damned thing. Most of it cleaned up excepting the carpet, which is ruined. My son apparently gave the same speech he got back in the day, "Boy, if you are going to risk setting yourself and everyone around you on fire, you better do it outside. I promise you won't survive anything like this again".

You ever wake up and think about starting to get ready for work and you just go "No.... not doin it."

Welcome to my morning. I am going to sit here in my boxers and drink coffee. That's it.

And yes I have no where near Cope's work ethic so don't even go there.

'morning y'all
I have driven about 40 minutes to work, pulled into the convenience store parking lot across the street from the main gate, and used the payphone to call in a mental health day. Told my boss where I was and let him know that I could be there in 2 minutes but it wasn't going to be a good day for anyone involved. He told me to go home.

Thought those disappeared about 15 years ago when cell phones took off....

I need to do that more often. My boss knows from the look on my face in the AM how the day is going to go. Even after my coffee....I WORK TOO DAMN MUCH!!!

PS: I don't have a very good "poker face." LOL.
