Had a good time yesterday at the wife's sister's. Got there around 3pm-ish and home around 9pm and straight to bed after very little sleep on Thursday because of a certain 3yp who was kicking me and tossing and turning all night.

Last night this didn't happen so I'm fairly refreshed right now with a big mug of coffee and a couple doughnuts from Shipley's.....the wife dropped her brother and 15yo nephew off at BNA for their return to California.

And for those that know my prediabetical story.....these are special sugar free doughnuts.....

At least that's the story I'm telling myself and sticking to it!!!!

If you have to ask, IMHO you let the expectations bar get set too high. I like to keep mine set about the level that a church would hold a bake sale to buy me a Greyhound ticket. One way. Nonrefundable. Not that I am hurting the community, but I damned sure ain't helping it either.

This is what I've been doing the last few days, except for yesterday, ripping out hedge and thorny locust trees in a pasture. Damn things grow like weeds and try to take over.

Morning all, was on call overnight the 4th and last nite. Made double time on the 4th (16 hours) for 5 hours worked at the hospital. Made 8 hours last night doing nothing. God knows I need dat money!

I've heard that the 4th is always the worst holiday to work because of all the firework accidents
