The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Is it going well, how are birth weights? I've heard some are pulling more calves than normal. I'm not yet, officially any way. Had the one aborted calf last week. Probably will be in a week or so. A good night's sleep will soon be a memory.
So far, so good. All live and easy births. I don't really have hands on. No headgates, no walking knee deep in mud, no moving round bales on a tractor in all weather and no all night vigils . However, I have and can do those things.

We do a lot of AI, so I study prospective bull stats and order semen from all over. The average person would be shocked to understand the science and the detail. I am pretty much administrative now.

I know i don't understand all the science to it, but I also do very little of it, and definitely not every year. I took the class 30 years ago, but a lot has changed and I have someone else come in and do it for me. I wish conception rate was higher on it, if i could AI and be able to eliminate some bulls, I'd do more of it, but when I'm only seeing AI whole herd conception rates at tops of maybe 65%.

Cows come in every 21 days, so we have clean up bulls for that.
