My condolences on not enough outdoor time, I understand and feel your pain. How big of a hog? That's a critter I'm really glad we dont have running around up here, but I'd like to shoot a couple of them.
I'd say about a buck eighty five, and I'm pretty damn good at judging their weight.

I don't fool with them if they are much smaller because it's too much pain in the ass for the amount of meat.

150-250 is what I prefer because you don't have to deal with that armor plating they can grow everywhere but their head and underside.....well, most of them.

The first one I got broken in on in high school was for a couple buddies. It was almost 400lbs, broke the pulley on the lift, nearly broke the 4x4 pole, and that armor plating was over 3 inches thick.

With no sharpener available, I went through six very sharp knives that night, having to cut the armor off in pieces about 12"x12".

I grilled the inner loins around midnight out of spite.

Hogs are spreading,, you'll have them soon enough,, they are a nuisance animal.. they outbreed most population control measures.
