Good morning everyone.
ExactlyGood morning crew. Making the 7 hour drive up to see my youngest just outside of Santa Cruz.
Should have been on the road an hour ago but when you have two female passengers, coffee and deep breaths are required.
Highschool boy just left, I made him move square bales of hay from one end of the barn to the other and restack them this morning. He was absolutely soaked with sweat and dead tired when he was done. I was going to give him a pitchfork this afternoon and he was going to clean out a pen in the barn but I had to go fix fence so he got to do that instead.
What did the young lads parents think about the situation?Highschool boy just left, I made him move square bales of hay from one end of the barn to the other and restack them this morning. He wasn't to bad. I think it shocked him, he said that he now has a new found appreciation for that type of labor. I dug at him a little when I told him my then 13 year old daughter stacked over twice as much of it last year and what he was moving was just what was left. That I think made him feel a little more meek. How offended was he with the work?
Oh they were pissed. Mom's a teacher at another school, dads the superintendent at our school. What did the young lads parents think about the situation?
