We had a hail storm Saturday night with flash flooding, so they postponed the race. There is a creek on Earhart's farm that abuts the speedway. That field is a bad flood risk so it is a safety deal. The race is today at 1600 EST.

The best races back home were the Pinto's and late models. It was never about the speed of the cars but who would enter the turns already sideways. One old guy would always offer to swap cars with anyone and still beat them. More than one fight happened over bruised egos.
 
Good morning crew.

After a busy weekend of doing the honey do list, my wife is giving me the day off. We are headed to the beach so I get the honor of driving while she naps. I get the honor of unloading everything (sun umbrella, ice chest, beach chairs, etc) and carrying it to the sand. I get the honor of carrying it all back, and than making the same drive home. Isn't it wonderful how I get the day off.

Seriously though, looking forward to it, its our happy place.

I get annoyed sometimes with the honey dos, but I am coming to realize, it is the very least I can do, and its kind of honor to serve my wife in that way. Painted the house all day yesterday, wrong color, will be painting again, and Im ok with that! Sappy post over

I’ve painted our master bathroom 3 times in the last 9 months. She picked out the colors and bought the paint, then after a couple of weeks decided she didn’t like the color after all, so we compromised... I painted again. That’s usually how our compromises work 😂!

Well said. Although re-painting would be pushing my buttons. I enjoy keeping busy but the one thing in life that I despise doing, is painting.

I love my wife and feel the same way ... <insert sounds of door closing and car leaving the driveway> ... but I am king of the castle. :whistle:
