I enjoy hearing bicycle horns go off from across the Wal-mart when I'm shopping for those mini-pies they sell.

Morning all. Finished beans this morning at 1 a.m. I beat the rain that's coming soon. Was finally able to get back in the field after all the rain we've had. There was one other day a week or so ago we were able to run, but over the last almost 3 weeks that's been about it.

Finished welding up the cracks in my mower deck today. It will never be accused of being pretty, but it’s solid as hell and that’s good enough for me. With a little more practice, I think I can get to where I can make a decent weld, but no more than I’ll do it, I don’t need to pass a welding exam . While I had the deck removed, I went ahead and sharpened the blades, and greased up the spindles. Installed and leveled the deck, then gave it a test run. Works better than it has in years!
