Nice try, DEA
The ear is healing fairly well. The bone behind it and the outer ear are still sensitive to the touch and I get waves of pain but that will last for months as the nerves heal.

In other news, after a couple of ultrasounds they have decided that another surgery is my best option in terms of quality of life at the ripe old age of 29.

It turns out my veins are dog shit and I have blood clots. Specifically in my left leg. I’m having a stent put in to close one off and I’m having two others removed entirely. I have one in my thigh that the doctor said was “a disaster waiting to happen” which is oh so comforting.

I found out that I struggled with the breathing tube in my last surgery and with my blood pressure typically running in the 90/60 range and a resting heart rate in the low to mid 50s they haven’t decided how to approach the anesthesia for this next one to remove the veins with clots in them.

No date on this next surgery yet but I imagine it’ll be within the next few weeks. Fuck me right?

I think I'd consider the "Bionic" program if I were in your shoes. It's only a $6,000,000 price tag.

Seriously, never hurts to get second opinions.

In the end, I hope your quality of life does indeed improve.

Is that price adjusted for inflation?
Mire importantly, do you have any eligibility left for SEC play.

Sorry to hear about the blood clots. I had a clot removed and a stent put in a few years ago to address a sort of a freak condition. Maybe I got lucky but my surgeon took care of everything in one try. Best of luck to you.

Best of luck to you! I do recommend getting second opinions from doctors and discuss long and short term approaches/treatments. Mine were not as serious as yours but I had to start making those kinds of decisions at the age of 24 with my knees and they are rough. If there is ever anything I can do, please ask.
