What are we drinking tonight?

There was also a bootlegger in Campbellsville named "Popeye." And one in Mansville, KY.

Never ran across any bootleggers, but did run across some pot fields when we were out digging ginseng with my pal's grandpa. Warning shots, poorly aimed shots, whatever, tend to get your attention. Prolly some of those Cornbread Mafia mofos.......

Was that Raywick?

Honestly couldn't tell ya. We'd pile in his car in C-Ville and go off in the woods. No idea where we were. I'd say we were lucky to not run across a still or three, but he probably knew where those were and stayed away from them.
Raywick is on the Marion/Taylor County line. I have a relative in that book by Jimmy Higdon. Im okay with talking about experiences with the CB mafia. Some still are not. I was never directly involved at all just for clarification. I was told this was the only syndicate where NOBODY talked. Not sure if correct, but it makes sense.

There's a good likelihood we were in that area. Also, got that book on the table in the hallway........

Hell of a story (and the buddy who's grandpa we went ginseng digging with is actually in there. Believe I mentioned that in PM a while ago? He's on the law's side)

sounds great -
lookin forward pullin the cap -

i've never heard of rarioning like that -
do the private stores ration also?

their reasoning is that since this is a limited release, they want to give more people a chance to buy some,, no limit on everyday liquors..

If Alabama is like NC, there are no private stores for liquor. The only place to buy the hard stuff is in state run ABC stores.

I think it has everything to do with taxes.. there are stores that sell liquor but they have to buy it at the ABC store and then mark it up.. so.. those places are only good for after hours and Sundays..

So why can't your state just let the regular grocery stores, convenience stores or privately owned liquor stores sell it like here in Iowa, 24/7? They afraid they won't get their tax money?

Why cover his face? Those tits are gonna be a dead giveaway.

Ok, I got two bottles at today's release for April. I got a Blanton's, and a Eagle Rare. I'm trying to learn how to detect the flavors. First I the nose hit, then the first sip usually hits sweet with either caramel, brown sugar, or molasses, the second hit is more subtle, either floral or fruity, and the final wave is usually the wood. Hundreds of combinations and it ain't easy.. guess I need more practice 😂

Alabama monthly allotment. Got two bottles of Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace. The second of both was courtesy of my neighbor. The State only allows one bottle per customer a day.

I was first in line at the Saks store, got the blantons and the eagle rare, then drove straight to Jacksonville and they had 2 bottles of blantons left and I got one and another eagle rare,, both stores will have buffalo trace for about the next 5 days, your allowed 1 bottle a day (from each store if you want lol)
