What are we drinking tonight?

Old Fashioneds made with a recipe from my old haunt in Milwaukee, now closed.

In an old fashioned glass, muddle a single Luxardo cherry and small orange wedge with Bittercube Blackstrap bitters and Cherrybark Vanilla bitters. Add 1oz Luxardo Cherry Sangue Morlacco liqueur and 2oz bourbon (Noah’s Mill tonight … thank you GusPlus from the old board). Add seltzer water to bring the glass to half full, add ice, splash some more bourbon on the top, add a couple of skewered Luxardo cherries.IMG_9574.jpeg

If you want to really limit the sweetness, use Old Forester 1920 as the bourbon to man up.

And I think it's a lot of people drinking on their way to work....part of the reason driving here is like being in the Indy 500....

I am from Los Angeles so I am used to bumper to bumper traffic but not the way these folks drive here....

SMH.

Welcome to the NASCAR Autobahn where trading paint is part of the work commute on the interstate.

Off for the next 2 days and getting this party started....1st of 2 of these. My 1st time trying them after seeing somebody post on here and it's all they seemingly drink....LOL.
