Totally lucked out and stumbled across this yesterday in the collectibles room at my go-to liquor store. May open it this weekend.

Haven't drank in a long time. I stopped after some mixed drinks with whiskey and some with vodka and me passing out in my own vomit years back. I saw an ad on Twisted Tea and wondered if it was any good. Wife heard me and bought a variety pack. Guess I'll have to try it one of these weekends.

I hope you like it, though to be honest, I've had it and not a fan. But please, make your own decision. Everyone's taste is different. My opinion, Don't mix stuff, just drink it straight. On the rocks can help.

Water tonight. Just got home from seeing The Accountant 2 and settled in to watching some Doctor Who.

Old Fashioneds tonight. A recipe from my favorite bar back when I spent a ton of time in Milwaukee.

2 oz bourbon
1 oz Luxardo Cherry Sangue Morlacca
Bittercube Blackstrap bitters
Bittercube Cherrybark Vanilla bitters
Seltzer water

In an old fashioned glass … Muddle 1 Luxardo Cherry with 4 dashes of each of the bitters and a small slice/wedge of navel orange. Add the bourbon and Cherry liqueur. Give it just a couple of easy stirs. Add the equal amount of seltzer. Add a big ice cube if you have it, otherwise add ice to bring near the top of the glass. Pour a floater of bourbon on top to finish. If you feel fancy and adventurous, flame an orange disc into the drink and rub around the glass rim before dropping in (believe me, it’s worth it). Add a skewer of two Luxardo cherries.

Having one right now. Not too bad especially for not drinking in awhile. Want to try the Hard Mountain Dew next. I love Code Red pop & want to see how the hard kind is vs mixing it with vodka back in the day.
