What if The Big Bang didn't happen?

The big bang theory essentially states that the universe began some 14 billion years ago in an incredibly hot and dense state that has been expanding ever since. However, the characteristics of the galaxies that are furthest away should be huge and contain a “red shirt” to their light. What the James Webb Telescope has discovered is that those galaxies are the complete opposite. An astronomer at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Alison Patrick, spoke about this new evidence with great panic. According to Patrick, “Right now I find myself lying awake at three in the morning and wondering if everything I've done is wrong.”

But the new galaxies found are said to be older than when the Big Bang was said to have initially occurred. The young stars in those far galaxies should be hot and blue in color, as most young stars are. However, the stars being discovered are all cooler and reddish in color, indicating they are older than when the Big Bang would have occurred.
 
I've listened to a lot of pinheads turning themselves into pretzels explaining how a cinder exploding made all this. And using math like 10 to the minus 39 second is as far as they can go back. After that they say our understanding of physics breaks down.They can make a good case for having the ability to babble on and make it sound good. But what gets me is the arrogance of thinking one can understand infinity. It does lead credence to something beyond what can be formulated on a chalkboard or printed out from a computer program.
Uh oh. Did I just intimate of something that may lead to what some naysayers would describe as the invisible space wizard as the sceptics would call it?
It'll be interesting to see if this leads to discussion among some of what I would call educated beyond their intelligence.
 
My theory is that they would have re-written some of the characters then tried another pilot.

To be blunt, we have never observed the entirety of one planet or star's formation, nor even observed 5% of the universe, yet we think we know the origin of everything ...
 
Whatever the truth is, it changes nothing. Science has never been a finite explanation for much of anything especially involving the cosmos. Science does not claim to be an end all, only the pursuit of it which is constantly revised and never ending. Reminds me of a quote "Dont follow the ones that have found the truth, follow the ones that seek it."

I do want to clarify my position a little. I am not anti-science and I believe that our scientists are at the cutting edge of knowledge in general. My issue with the science community is that there is a huge difference between saying "to the best of our knowledge we currently believe" and "this theory is a fact/settled science due to consensus". TBH, today's scientific community acts no differently that the Roman Catholic Church did with Galileo in the 1600s. Question MMGW, macro evolution, covid origin/response, the Big Bang, archeological timelines or a host of other science stances and one is silenced and shunned. That is not science, it is a religion.

Fully agreed. I've observed for most of my life that we, as a species, are very arrogant. I'm just smart enough to understand that I don't know what I don't know. I guess I'm lucky for not being educated beyond my intelligence.

I am one of the ones that is educated far beyond my intelligence. Sadly, I crossed that line in preschool.
