What kind of school is your favorite team's/teams' school when it comes to sports?

Of course I'm the Pro-Carolina regionalist so I'll be looking at the 10 FBS schools. This is based on biggest and/or most success in the sports played at each institution.

East Carolina

ECU is a Baseball school. The Pirates have 2 National Championships from their days as an NAIA program and on the NCAA side have made the Tournament nearly every year since 1999, only missing out 5 times in that span.

NC State

NCSU is a Wrestling school. On the mat, the Wolfpack have produced 7 individual NCAA National Champions including Sylvester Terkay who would have a brief stint touring with World Wrestling Entertainment. Wrestling edges out Men's Swimming/Diving by 2 National titles who are also individual.

Duke

DU is a Women's Golf school. Yes, the Men's Basketball program has had its share of success with 5 National Championships, but Women's Golf sports 7 with their most recent being 2019.

North Carolina

UNC is a Women's Soccer school. No other program at Chapel Hill comes close to the efficiency that the Heels Soccer squad has had on the pitch. They have 22 National Championships in total with 1 being from the AIAW and the rest from having joined the NCAA.

Wake Forest

WFU is a Men's Golf school. It's been a little while since the Deacs have had National level success, but they do have 3 National Championships as a team and 3 more individually, including PGA great Curtis Strange who won his in 1974, the same season the DD's won the National title as a team, too.

Appalachian State

ASU is a Football school. The Mountaineers have 3 National Championships at the I-AA/FCS level, but have since moved on to FBS where since becoming eligible to compete for a bowl spot in 2015 have gone bowling every year and have won every time, currently at 5-0.

Charlotte

UNCC is a Men's Soccer school. The 49ers don't have any National Championships, but the Men's Soccer team has made the College Cup twice, advancing to the Championship Round once.

Clemson

CU is a Football school. Just barely though and up until the end of the 2018 season it could still be argued that the Tigers were more of a Men's Soccer school with their 2 National Championships. Coach Dabo Swinney however persisted and now Clemson has the big 1 beside their name thanks to the Media and Coaches Polls a total of 3 times.

South Carolina

USC is a Women's Track and Field school. Combining Indoor, Outdoor, Team, and Individual, the Lady Gamecocks have earned a total of 29 National Championships. Indoor and Outdoor each have 14 Individual titles and won as a team on the Outdoor side in 2002.

Coastal Carolina

CCU is a Baseball school. The only National Championship I know of that the Chanticleers have won was the College World Series in 2016. They won that title as a Big South school and thanks to the calendar were officially a Sun Belt school the following day. That 2016 Chants team is the most successful Big South team of any sport ever.

Opie, not a single damn alumni, booster, or fan considers the Cocks a women’s track & field school. A lot of us know they’ve had a lot of success, but we really couldn’t give 2 shits about it. Traditionally, over my 43 years, we’ve been a baseball school. Had Ray Tanner not gone full retard & kept his fat ass in the dugout, we’d likely still be the premiere baseball program in all the land. We’ve slipped some, but that’s still what we are. A baseball school.

That's a you problem. Since your reading skills failed you the first time, I'll repeat the important part.

This is based on biggest and/or most success in the sports played at each institution.

Notice how nowhere in that statement had anything about your feelings. Anyway, goodbye.

LOL! Can’t take an opinion different from yours much?! LOL!

Wrestling by a long shot then football and men's bball. I am of the opinion and it has been talked about by others who are much closer than I to the situation that there is someone in the "administration" that is not a big wrestling fan and has "passively" tried to knock it down a peg or two by not actively supporting it and putting some restrictions on recruiting and how funding and donations have been received, used and earmarked. Basically it boils down to not being able to compete on a level playing field with the other national powers in the sport.

Wisconsin / Volleyball
I love Molly Haggerty as a player and the whole badger squad.

Oklahoma Sooners / Football
I love their crimson and white outfits and their logo and Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts

Kansas Jayhawks / NCAAB
I loved their logo then I realized this year they’re actually a really good team despite some of the teams actions.
