Whats for dinner?

Still at the buffet....waiting on the missus to return with her last plate.

Had some chicken broccoli, fried rice and some of the non traditional fare....seasoned potatoes, chicken taquitoes and some beer battered chicken of some kind.

Before the comments come about an Asian buffet....it's in the Mexican part of Nashville....they even have food for kids so it's family friendly.....Mac n cheese, fries, etc.

LOL

Actually that sounds great. I love Asian buffet's ( are we calling them that now? ) especially the ones that have fan favorites like those little roasted potatoes. Now if they have soft serve ice cream for dessert you are in hog heaven.

We had a Chinese buffet restaurant in town for about twenty+ years. When they temporarily closed for COVID, they reopened as a Japanese hibachi grill restaurant with the same owners, however, no more buffet, just cook to order and a limited menu.

In fairness.....I prefer my wife's cooking to the buffet we ate......she is amazing cook.

Promising to cook on Wed but that is always subject to change. Think I will cook the other meal prep I bought on Thursday, maybe Fri if I opt for nachos and beer during football on Thur.

Ah, we had a Wendy's that closed then re-opened as one of those Hibachi grills. Man, they make some great food!

Probly not the same people tho :giggle:

we have a local chinese buffet called Li's place, it was average for Chinese buffets but I used to go all the time,, I had to stop when I went on my diet but I did find out something,, I can call in and get the Chicken and broccoli to go with white rice, and about half of it is around 500 calories and its enough,, not saying I get full but it is enough..
I do that about once a week,, 2 meals for about $12

When I got home I finished off the leftover mini meatballs with rice and covered in brown gravy.

The wife is making chicken legs with green beans for dinner.
