Gorgeous where is this at?View attachment 3428
All I have to do is go out the door, and go for a drive, whatever. This kinda territory surrounds me.
Blackwater Falls. A bit north of me but I'm surrounded by territory like that.Gorgeous where is this at?
This is what they call a river in west Texas. The one thing about this thread is it shows how much natural beauty is in this country. Why go overseas when there are enough places to see to keep you busy for years.@OldDevilDawg they call this a river here. I caught crawdads in bigger creeks back home.

You’d be surprised how much cattle there is along that stretch of hwy 1. Those families have owned that land for generations. None of that land will ever be developed. If it ever does hit the market, the Big Sur Land Trust will buy it immediately. That would be some damn expensive pasture.

Funny story about Hwy 1 and cattle. Driving on Hwy 1 north of San Francisco when I approached a blind hairpin turn. A sign on the side of the road warned to watch for cows. One of my kids asked about it and I replied that those signs were a waste and there wouldn't be any cows in the road. Well sure enough as soon as I finished that statement and made the turn in the road there was a cow right smack in the middle of the road with his buddy laying on the shoulder just relaxing. You’d be surprised how much cattle there is along that stretch of hwy 1. That reminds me of a hunting trip to Missouri when I was in the fifth grade, but kind of the opposite situation.Funny story about Hwy 1 and cattle.
