I am with you on this one. I might visit it but I would not seek it out as a focal point. I would be more interested in seeing the cliffs at Saipan.

The last family member who visited Japan did so in a B29 and he hated em. I grew up with that hate and distrust and while I don't hate them in the least bit, there's just always been something off putting there.

Idk, my grandpa wouldn't buy anything that had anything in Japan from it until the day he died. My mom wanted a Honda and he about had a stroke lecturing on Hondas role in the air.

He was most definitely an interesting character and always carried a lot with him I guess. He was a Captain and had men captured who relayed stories. What they did then is nothing short of what happens now with ISIS and stuff. I guess it stuck with me enough that I've always had a funny vibe about the country.
